Certificate in Inclusive Infrastructure
Course Description
This certificate course gives participants a comprehensive understanding of how to establish inclusive leadership and governance systems, and how to establish inclusion throughout the project lifecycle.
You will learn how to build capacity to understand the needs of vulnerable groups; identify and work with stakeholder groups based on proven and inclusive data collection methods; empower stakeholders; and establish transparent inclusivity in all aspects of policy, standards, strategy, and regulation.
You will also learn to create public sector objectives that drive inclusivity and to incorporate inclusivity objectives into private sector participation. In building your understanding of inclusivity through the lifecycle, you will learn to apply qualitative and quantitative social equity criteria in line with relevant national or subnational policies, strategies, and regulations.
The Certificate in Inclusive Infrastructure consists of the following seven modules:

- Module 2: Stakeholder Identification, Engagement and Empowerment
- Module 3: Governance and Capacity Building
- Module 4: Policy, Regulation and Standards
- Module 5: Project Planning, Development and Delivery
- Module 6: Private Sector Roles and Participation
- Module 7: Affordability and Optimising Finance
Objectives
Understand the Inclusive Infrastructure Framework, and the rationale for and methods of enhancing inclusivity through stakeholder engagement and empowerment, governance, capacity building, policy, regulation, standards, and all other phases of the infrastructure lifecycle.
Target Audience
This course was developed and designed for professionals in government and the private sector, as well as international development agencies and non-profit organisations, who want to increase the social benefits created through infrastructure policy and delivery.
